Derek Theler, born on October 29, 1986, is an American actor, writer, producer, and model, best known for his role as Danny in the sitcom Baby Daddy, which aired from 2012 to 2017. Diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of three, Theler has been an advocate for diabetes awareness. He attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. In May 2016, he began dating actress Lisa Marie Summerscales, and they became engaged in July 2022. The couple married in September 2022. Throughout his career, Theler has taken on various roles in television and film, contributing to his recognition in the entertainment industry.
