Biography

Oliver Mansour Jackson-Cohen, born on October 24, 1986, is an English actor from Westminster, London. He is the son of British fashion designer Betty Jackson and David Cohen, who was his mother's business partner and hailed from an Orthodox Jewish family in Egypt. Jackson-Cohen began his acting career at the age of 15 with a role in the television series Hollyoaks. He gained further recognition through appearances in ITV's The Time of Your Life and the BBC adaptation of Lark Rise to Candleford. His film credits include Going the Distance, Faster, and the indie film Life and Death at 17. Jackson-Cohen also starred in the miniseries World Without End and had a role in Mr Selfridge. He was accepted into the Lee Strasberg acting school in New York but postponed enrollment to pursue his acting career.
