Biography

Jang Dong-Gun is a prominent South Korean artist recognized for his diverse talents as a fashion model, singer, television star, and film actor. He has gained significant popularity across Asia, including in Japan, Hong Kong, China, and Vietnam. Jang made his film debut in 1997 with "Repechage," followed by "Holiday in Seoul" the same year. His breakout role came in the 1999 film "Nowhere to Hide," which showcased his acting prowess. Jang achieved widespread fame with the 2001 film "Friends," directed by Kwak Gyeong-taek, which became one of the highest-grossing Korean films. He also starred in notable projects such as the sci-fi action film "2009: Lost Memories," "The Coastguard," directed by Kim Ki-duk, and the ambitious film "Typhoon."
