Biography

Seong Ji, born Kwak Tae Geun on February 27, 1977, is a South Korean actor known for his versatile performances in television and film. He began his career after being inspired by Dustin Hoffman's role in "Rain Man." While studying Theatre and Film at Hanyang University, he gained recognition for his breakthrough role in the SBS drama "All In" (2003). Initially using the stage name Choi Ji Sung, he later adopted the simpler name Ji Sung. He served in the military from June 2005 to June 2007. Ji Sung married actress Lee Bo Young in 2013, and they have two children. He has received several awards, including Daesang for "Kill Me Heal Me" (2015) and "Defendant" (2017). In January 2022, he signed with Surpass Entertainment. Ji Sung has publicly shared his struggle with spondylosis, a condition causing chronic back pain.
