Biography

Tomoya Nagase is a Japanese singer and actor, known as the primary vocalist of the Johnny & Associates musical group Tokio, where he also plays guitar. He has appeared in over 40 television dramas, with his first lead role in "Hakusen Nagashi" in 1996. Notable roles include "Ikebukuro West Gate Park," "Mukodono!," and "Tiger & Dragon," with "Mukodono!" marking his first foray into comedy. He received the Ishihara Yuijiro Award for "Best Newcomer" in 2002 for his performance in the film "Seoul." Nagase was in a public relationship with singer and former actress Ayumi Hamasaki, which began early in their careers. They announced their relationship in 2001, but it ended amicably in 2007, with both remaining friends after their split.
