Biography

Elio Germano, born on 25 September 1980 in Rome, Italy, is a prominent Italian actor recognized for his diverse roles in film and theater. He began his acting career at the age of twelve in the film Ci hai rotto papà (1992). Germano gained significant recognition after starring in Carlo Vanzina's Il cielo in una stanza. He has collaborated with esteemed directors including Ettore Scola, Emanuele Crialese, and Gabriele Salvatores, showcasing his versatility in films such as Concorrenza sleale, Respiro, and Romanzo criminale. Germano received the David di Donatello award for Best Actor for his performance in Mio fratello è figlio unico (2007) and was awarded Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival in 2010 for La Nostra Vita. He is set to portray Folco Terzani, the son of journalist Tiziano Terzani, in an upcoming biopic.
