Frank Gorshin was an American character actor, impressionist, and comedian, recognized for his distinctive talent in impersonation. He gained prominence through numerous guest appearances on shows such as "The Ed Sullivan Show" and "Tonight Starring Steve Allen." Gorshin is best remembered for his iconic role as the Riddler in the 1960s live-action television series Batman, a performance that earned him an Emmy Award nomination and solidified the Riddler as a significant villain in the Batman franchise. In 1953, Gorshin was drafted into the United States Army, where he served for a year and a half as an entertainer with Special Services in Germany.
