Biography
Fuel is an American rock band formed in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, in 1989 by guitarist and songwriter Carl Bell and bassist Jeff Abercrombie. The band gained prominence with hit songs such as "Shimmer" from their debut album Sunburn, and "Hemorrhage (In My Hands)" and "Bad Day" from their follow-up, Something Like Human. Their album Sunburn is certified Platinum, while Something Like Human has achieved Double-Platinum status by the RIAA. Fuel's music has garnered extensive airplay on MTV and VH1, with numerous Top 10 Billboard rock hits and several songs featured in major movie soundtracks, including Scream 3 and Daredevil. "Hemorrhage (In My Hands)" was notably the No. 1 Active Rock song for 13 weeks and ranked as one of the top rock songs of the decade. The band has released five studio albums, with the most recent, Puppet Strings, in 2014, and continues to tour globally.
