Biography

Geoffrey Bond Lewis (July 31, 1935 – April 7, 2015) was an American character actor known for his versatile roles in over 200 films and television shows. He gained recognition for his performances alongside notable actors such as Clint Eastwood and Robert Redford, often portraying villains or eccentric characters. His filmography includes appearances in television series like Law & Order: Criminal Intent and My Name is Earl, and films such as Down in the Valley and Maverick. Lewis co-starred in the cult classic television movie Salem's Lot and collaborated frequently with Clint Eastwood in films like Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil and Thunderbolt and Lightfoot. He was married three times and had numerous children, including actress Juliette Lewis. Lewis passed away from a heart attack at the age of 79, having struggled with Parkinson's disease and dementia in his later years.
