George Miller, born on 3 March 1945 in Australia, is a prominent film director, screenwriter, producer, and former medical doctor. He is widely recognized for creating the Mad Max franchise, with notable entries including Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior (1981) and Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), both regarded as seminal works in the action genre. Miller's diverse filmography also features the Academy Award-winning films Babe (1995) and Happy Feet (2006). He co-founded the production companies Kennedy Miller Mitchell and Dr. D Studios, collaborating closely with his brother Bill Miller and producer Doug Mitchell. Throughout his career, Miller has received multiple accolades, including an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature for Happy Feet. He has garnered five additional Academy Award nominations for his work on Lorenzo's Oil (1992), Babe, and Mad Max: Fury Road. Miller is married.
