Biography

Giselli Monteiro is a Brazilian model and actress born in São Mateus, Espírito Santo, Brazil. She began her modeling career at seventeen and moved to Mumbai, India in 2008. Monteiro gained recognition in Bollywood for her role as Harleen Kaur in Imtiaz Ali's film Love Aaj Kal (2009), where she was initially kept under wraps during promotions. Her casting occurred after she approached Ali through designer Anaita Shroff Adajania. Monteiro has graced the covers of prominent fashion magazines such as Harpers Bazaar India, ELLE, Marie Claire, and Femina. In addition to her acting career, she serves as the brand ambassador for Wills Lifestyle, Movil Mobiles, and PC Jewellers. She has also walked the ramp for renowned designers like Rohit Bal and Ritu Kumar. Monteiro appeared in the film Always Kabhi Kabhi, released on June 17, 2011, under the Red Chillies Entertainment banner.
