Biography

Hema Malini is an Indian actress, writer, director, producer, dancer, and politician. She began her acting career in 1962 with the Tamil film Ithu Sathiyam and gained prominence with her first major role in Sapno Ka Saudagar (1968). Malini became a leading actress in Bollywood, often starring alongside notable actors such as her husband Dharmendra, Rajesh Khanna, and Dev Anand. She was famously dubbed the "Dream Girl" and starred in the 1977 film of the same name. Throughout her career, she has portrayed a variety of roles in both comedic and dramatic films, showcasing her skills as a dancer as well. Over her extensive career, Hema Malini has appeared in more than 150 films, establishing herself as a prominent figure in Indian cinema.
