Isild Le Besco is a French actress, screenwriter, and director known for her diverse contributions to cinema. A former student of the École des enfants du spectacle, she initially pursued dance before studying at the École Estienne. Le Besco gained recognition through her collaboration with director Emmanuelle Bercot, featuring in the short film "Les Vacances" and later in "La Puce," which explored complex themes of relationships. She received critical acclaim for her role in the television film addressing teenage pregnancy, earning a nomination for "Best Actress" at the 7 d'Or awards. Transitioning to writing and directing, she founded her production company, Sangsho. Notable works include "Sade," "L'Intouchable," and "Charly." Her artistic endeavors have garnered multiple awards, including the Marcello Mastroianni Prize for Best Young Actress at the Venice Film Festival. Le Besco continues to be active in the film industry, balancing her roles in front of and behind the camera.
