Jamie Carragher
Biography
James Lee Duncan "Jamie" Carragher, born on 28 January 1978, is a retired English footballer who had a distinguished career as a defender at Premier League club Liverpool, where he played for 17 years. A dedicated one-club player, Carragher served as Liverpool's vice-captain for a decade and is recognized as the club's second-longest serving player, making a total of 737 appearances in all competitions by the end of his career on 19 May 2013. He also holds the record for the most appearances in European competitions for Liverpool, with 150 matches. Following his retirement, Carragher transitioned to sports media and currently works as a pundit for Sky Sports, providing analysis and commentary on football.
