Lee Grant, born on October 31, 1925, is an American actress, documentarian, and director. She made her film debut in 1951 with a notable performance as a young shoplifter in William Wyler's "Detective Story," which earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress and the Best Actress Award at the 1952 Cannes Film Festival. Grant's career includes a significant role in "Shampoo" (1975), for which she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, portraying Warren Beatty's older lover. Throughout her career, Grant has been recognized for her contributions to film and television, establishing herself as a prominent figure in the entertainment industry. She resides in the United States and is currently married.
