Lina Romay
Biography
Rosa María Almirall Martínez, known professionally as Lina Romay, was a Spanish actress and filmmaker born on 25 June 1954. She gained prominence through her collaborations with director Jesús Franco, whom she met after a performance of Terra Baixa. Romay appeared in approximately 109 of Franco's films over a career spanning from 1973 to 2010, sometimes using the pseudonyms Candy Coster and Lulu Laverne. The couple lived together for nearly four decades and married on 25 April 2008. Romay's first film with Franco, Relax Baby, was never released. She passed away from cancer on 15 February 2012 in Málaga, Spain, at the age of 57. Jesús Franco died in 2013.
