Biography

Ludovico Einaudi, born on 23 November 1955, is an Italian pianist and composer known for his evocative and minimalist musical style. He studied at the Conservatorio Verdi in Milan and trained under composer Luciano Berio during the early 1980s. Initially a classical composer, Einaudi expanded his repertoire to include elements of pop, rock, world music, and folk. He gained prominence for his film scores, including those for "The Intouchables" and "I'm Still Here," as well as the TV miniseries "Doctor Zhivago." His work on the soundtrack for "Acquario" earned him the Grolla d'oro award. Einaudi has released several acclaimed solo albums, such as "I Giorni" (2001), "Nightbook" (2009), and "In a Time Lapse" (2013). His collaborative album, "Taranta Project," was released in May 2015, followed by "Elements" in October 2015.
