Biography

Lulu Kennedy-Cairns, OBE, born Marie McDonald McLaughlin Lawrie on 3 November 1948 in Lennoxtown, Scotland, is a renowned Scottish singer, actress, and television personality. She rose to fame in the 1960s, particularly known for her hit "To Sir with Love" from the film of the same name and the title song for the James Bond film "The Man with the Golden Gun." Lulu won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1969 with "Boom Bang-a-Bang," which became a significant hit in the UK. Throughout her career, she hosted several television series and enjoyed continued success with singles like "Independence" in 1993 and "Relight My Fire" with Take That in 1993. Lulu has been recognized for her contributions to music, receiving an OBE in 2000. She has been married twice and has one son, Jordan Frieda.
