Biography

Gong Minzy, born January 18, 1994, in Seoul, South Korea, is a solo artist and former member of the girl group 2NE1. She debuted with 2NE1 in 2009 and left the group on April 6, 2016. Minzy launched her solo career on April 16, 2017, with the single "NINANO." She is known for her dance skills, having won several awards before her debut, and was discovered through a dance audition clip shared online. Minzy trained for five years under YG Entertainment and attended the same dance academy as several notable K-pop artists. She is multilingual, speaking Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese, and has publicly addressed her mental health struggles. In October 2020, she established her own agency, MZ Entertainment. Minzy's fanbase is known as POS, meaning "light" in Greek.
