Chae-rin Lee, known professionally as CL, was born on February 26, 1991, in Seoul, South Korea. She is a prominent solo artist and former leader of the girl group 2NE1. After signing with YG Entertainment in 2007, CL gained fame for her rap and songwriting skills, contributing to 2NE1's success until the group's disbandment in 2016. She later focused on her solo career, debuting in the United States in 2014 and releasing her album "In The Name of Love" in 2019 under SuneV / Schoolboy Records. CL is multilingual, speaking Korean, Japanese, English, and French, and has been influenced by artists like Lil Kim and Kanye West. In addition to music, she has ventured into acting, appearing in the film "Mile 22." CL is recognized for her fashion sense and has collaborated with notable designers.
