Oliver Stanley "Olly" Murs, born on 14 May 1984 in Witham, Essex, England, is an English singer-songwriter, musician, and television presenter. He gained prominence as the runner-up in the sixth series of The X Factor in 2009. Murs is currently signed to Epic Records UK, Columbia Records US, and Syco Music. His debut single, "Please Don't Let Me Go," was released in August 2010, reaching number one on the UK Singles Chart and earning a Silver certification from the BPI. His self-titled debut album, released in November 2010, debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart and achieved double platinum status. Murs has released several successful albums and singles, including "Dance with Me Tonight" and "Heart Skips a Beat." In addition to his music career, he co-presented The Xtra Factor and hosted a show on Heart FM.
