Biography

Lee JinKi, known by his stage name Onew, is a South Korean singer and actor under SM Entertainment. He debuted as the leader and main vocalist of the boy group SHINee on May 22, 2008, with their first mini album "Replay." Born in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, Onew graduated from Chungwoon University with a Master's in Music Broadcasting. He is known for his musical talents, including playing the piano, and enjoys listening to music and eating chicken. Onew has appeared in various dramas, notably "Descendants of the Sun," for which he received a Rookie Award at the 2016 Scene Stealer Festival. He made his solo debut on December 5, 2018, with the mini album "VOICE." Onew served in the military beginning December 10, 2018. His fans are referred to as "MVPs," reflecting a line from SHINee's "Replay."
