Ramón Valdés
Biography
Ramón Valdés (1923-1988) was a prominent Mexican actor, born in Mexico City. He grew up in Ciudad Juárez, where he developed his acting skills alongside his brothers, Tin Tan and Loco Valdez, who also became renowned comedians in Latin America. Valdés appeared in over 50 Mexican films, but he is best known for his role as Don Ramón in the iconic television series El Chavo del Ocho, created by Chespirito. This character, alongside a memorable cast, contributed to the show's immense popularity across Latin America and beyond. Valdés also featured in another Chespirito series, El Chapulín Colorado. After leaving Chespirito's productions in 1978, he briefly returned to television in the mid-1980s. In addition to acting, Valdés owned a circus and performed in various acts. He passed away on August 9, 1988, after battling lung cancer.
