Biography
Sandra Milo is an Italian actress recognized for her performances in Federico Fellini's acclaimed films, 8½ and Juliet of the Spirits, both of which earned her Silver Ribbon awards for Best Supporting Actress. She made her film debut in 1955 alongside Alberto Sordi in The Bachelor. Her breakthrough role came in 1959 with Il generale della Rovere, directed by Roberto Rossellini. After a brief retirement following her marriage, she returned to acting at Fellini's urging, portraying a memorable character in 8½. Despite the film's success, her subsequent work primarily consisted of less notable projects. Milo retired again in 1968 but made a comeback in 1979, transitioning to roles as more mature women. In the mid-2000s, she toured Italy with a theatrical adaptation of 8 Women. She has been married twice and has three children.
