Biography

Souad Muhammad Kamal Hosny Al Baba, known as Soad Hosny, was born on January 26, 1943, in Ataba, Cairo, Egypt. She was the tenth of seventeen siblings and became a prominent figure in Arab cinema, often referred to as the "Cinderella" of the industry. Her acting career began in the late 1940s with her debut in "Hassan & Naima," leading to a prolific career that spanned over four decades, during which she appeared in more than 83 films, primarily in the 1960s and 1970s. Notable works include "Saghira El Hob" and "Khally Balek Min ZouZou." Hosny's personal life was marked by several marriages and relationships. She passed away on June 22, 2001, after a fall from a window in London. Soad Hosny is remembered as one of the most celebrated and beautiful actresses in Middle Eastern cinema history.
