Biography
Jeong-eum Hwang, born on January 25, 1985, is a South Korean actress and singer. She is represented by C-JeS Entertainment and is a former member of the K-pop group Sugar, from which she departed in 2004 to pursue a solo career. Hwang gained popularity as a recurring guest on the variety show "Love Letter" between 2004 and 2006, and made her acting debut in the 2007 drama "The Person I Love." Throughout her career, she has served as a goodwill ambassador for various organizations, including the Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival and the Korea Medical Assistance Foundation. Hwang was previously in a high-profile relationship with musician Kim Yong Jun, and she married businessman Lee Young Don in February 2016. The couple has two sons, born in 2017 and 2022. Hwang filed for divorce in 2020 but later withdrew the request.
