Thiago Emiliano da Silva, born on 22 September 1984, is a Brazilian professional footballer recognized for his role as a centre-back with Premier League club Chelsea and as captain of the Brazil national team. Standing at 183 cm (6'0"), Silva has had a distinguished career, having played for notable clubs such as Fluminense, AC Milan, and Paris Saint-Germain, where he achieved significant success, including multiple league titles and domestic cups. In 2020, he joined Chelsea, winning the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup. Silva has also represented Brazil in several international tournaments, securing a Copa América title in 2019 and Olympic medals in 2008 and 2012. He is married to Isabele, and they have two sons. Silva became a French citizen in 2019 after living in France for nearly seven years.
