Vanessa Bayer

Biography

Vanessa Bayer, born on November 14, 1981, is an American actress and comedian known for her work on Saturday Night Live (SNL). She joined the SNL cast after honing her skills at iO Chicago, The Annoyance, and The Second City, where she performed as an understudy for the Mainstage and touring company. Bayer has also starred in the puppet show "Felt" and was part of the improv team "Revolver" at iO Chicago. Additionally, she wrote and performed in "Swear Jar" at The Annoyance Theatre and has performed stand-up at Zanies. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Bayer graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004, during which she interned at "Sesame Street" and "Late Night with Conan O’Brien." She currently resides in New York City.
