Alan Silvestri
Biography
Alan Silvestri is an American composer and conductor known for his work in film and television. He is particularly recognized for his collaborations with director Robert Zemeckis, having composed scores for notable films such as the Back to the Future trilogy and Forrest Gump. Additionally, he contributed to superhero films, including Captain America: The First Avenger and Marvel's The Avengers. Silvestri has received two Academy Award nominations, one for Best Original Score for Forrest Gump and another for Best Original Song for "Believe" from The Polar Express. He has garnered four Grammy Award nominations, winning two for his work on The Polar Express and Cast Away. His accolades include two Emmy Awards for Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey and three Saturn Awards for Best Music. In 2011, he was honored with the Max Steiner Film Music Achievement Award in Vienna.
