Biography

Álvaro Arbeloa, born on 17 January 1983 in Spain, is a retired footballer and current manager of Real Madrid Juvenil A. Standing at 183 cm, he primarily played as a right-back, with occasional appearances on the left. Arbeloa began his professional career at Real Madrid, mainly with the reserves, before moving to Deportivo in 2006. Half a season later, he joined Liverpool, where he made 98 appearances over three Premier League seasons. In 2009, he returned to Real Madrid for £5 million, winning eight major titles, including La Liga and two Champions League trophies. Arbeloa earned 56 caps for the Spanish national team, participating in the 2010 World Cup and Euro tournaments in 2008 and 2012, all of which Spain won. He returned to Real Madrid in 2020 as a manager, initially for the under-14 team before advancing to the Juvenil A. Arbeloa studied Journalism at Camilo José Cela University.
