Tim Bergling, known professionally as Avicii, was a Swedish DJ, remixer, and record producer born on 8 September 1989 in Stockholm, Sweden. He gained prominence in the music industry with his debut single "Seek Bromance," which charted in multiple countries. In 2011, Avicii released the hit "Levels," which sampled Etta James' "Something's Got a Hold on Me" and reached the top ten in several European countries. That same year, he was ranked 6th on the Top 100 DJs list. Avicii's collaborations included work with notable artists such as David Guetta and Tiësto. His track "Sunshine," a collaboration with Guetta, received a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording. Despite his success, Avicii faced challenges regarding royalties for his creations. He is recognized for his contributions to electronic music before his passing in April 2018.
