Cilla Black
Biography
Cilla Black was an English singer, actress, entertainer, and media personality. She began her career as a singer in 1963, gaining prominence with hits such as "Anyone Who Had a Heart" and "You're My World," both reaching number one in the UK charts. Black achieved eleven Top Ten hits between 1964 and 1971, and her rendition of "Anyone Who Had a Heart" was recognized as the UK's best-selling single by a female artist in the 1960s. In addition to her music career, she hosted the eponymous variety show Cilla on the BBC from 1968 to 1976. In the 1980s and 1990s, she became a well-known television presenter, leading popular shows like Blind Date and Surprise Surprise. Celebrating 50 years in show business in 2013, she was honored with a special program on ITV titled The One & Only Cilla Black.
