Biography
Daniel Alves da Silva, born on May 6, 1983, in Juazeiro, Brazil, is a professional footballer known for his role as an attacking right defender. He has played for FC Barcelona and the Brazilian national team. Alves began his career at Sevilla FC, where he enjoyed significant success, winning two UEFA Cups and the Copa del Rey. In 2008, he transferred to Barcelona for €32.5 million, making him the most expensive defender at that time. During his tenure at Barcelona, Alves won numerous titles, including the Treble in his first season, and helped the club achieve the Sextuple. He has also won multiple Spanish Super Cups, league titles, and a UEFA Champions League. In 2011, Alves was appointed as a Special Olympics Ambassador for its Global Football program, promoting respect and inclusion in football for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
