Edwin van der Sar OON, born on 29 October 1970, is a Dutch former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He had a distinguished career with clubs such as Ajax, Juventus, Fulham, and Manchester United, winning numerous titles and accolades. Van der Sar is recognized as the second most capped player in the history of the Netherlands national team, contributing significantly to his country's international success. After retiring from professional football, he briefly came out of retirement to play for the Dutch amateur team VV Noordwijk. Currently, he serves as the chief executive officer at Ajax, where he continues to influence the sport off the pitch. Standing at 198 cm (6' 6"), van der Sar is noted for his impressive height and skills as a goalkeeper. He is married.
