Frank Ocean, born Christopher Breaux on October 28, 1987, in New Orleans, Louisiana, is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. He began his music career working with the production duo MIDI Mafia and the collective Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All (OFWGKTA). Ocean signed with Def Jam Recordings but faced challenges in advancing his solo career. In 2011, he gained critical acclaim with the release of his mixtape, which showcased his unique style. He has also written songs for prominent artists, including Beyoncé, Brandy, Justin Bieber, John Legend, and Nas. Ocean's track "Novacane" was released as part of his original EP. He toured with Odd Future and was later announced as an opening act for Coldplay's summer tour. His debut studio album is anticipated to release in late summer 2012. Ocean currently resides in the United States and is in a relationship. His net worth is estimated at $3 million.
