Franz Liszt, born on October 22, 1811, in Raiding, was a prominent Hungarian composer, pianist, conductor, and teacher of the 19th century. He is renowned for his contributions to the Romantic music movement and is considered one of the greatest pianists of all time. Liszt’s innovative compositions, including symphonic poems and piano works, showcased his virtuosity and creativity. He played a significant role in the development of the modern piano technique and was influential in promoting the works of other composers. In addition to his performing career, Liszt held various teaching positions and was deeply involved in music education. He passed away on July 31, 1886, in Bayreuth, leaving behind a rich legacy that continues to inspire musicians and composers today.
