Biography

Harvey Korman was a prominent American television comedy actor known for his work on The Carol Burnett Show, which aired from 1967 to 1978. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of Russian Jewish immigrants. Korman began his television career in the early 1960s with a notable role on The Danny Kaye Show, where he developed his skills in comedy sketches alongside a variety of performers. He is recognized for his distinctive voice and ability to portray a wide range of characters, including the memorable Great Gazoo on The Flintstones. Korman won four Emmy Awards for his contributions to The Carol Burnett Show and appeared in films such as Blazing Saddles, High Anxiety, and History of the World: Part I. He also directed and produced several sitcom episodes and comedy specials throughout his career.
