Biography

Tom Bosley was an American actor best known for his role as Howard Cunningham on the television series "Happy Days," which aired from 1974 to 1984. He was one of the few actors to appear in every episode of the show, which earned him recognition as one of the "50 Greatest TV Dads of All Time" by TV Guide in 2004. Bosley began his career in theater, winning a Tony Award in 1960 for his portrayal of Mayor Fiorello La Guardia in the musical "Fiorello." He also originated the role of Maurice in the Broadway production of Disney's "Beauty and the Beast." In addition to his television work, he hosted CBS Radio's "General Mills Radio Adventure Theater" in 1977. Bosley served in the United States Navy and trained at the Radio Institute of Chicago. He was married and had a daughter, Amy Baer, who has three children.
