Joshua Ilan "Josh" Gad, born on February 23, 1981, in Hollywood, Florida, is an American actor and singer renowned for his vocal performance as Olaf in Disney's Frozen and for originating the role of Elder Arnold Cunningham in the Broadway musical The Book of Mormon. He has appeared in various television shows, including ER, Modern Family, and New Girl, and played Skip Gilchrist in NBC's 1600 Penn. Gad also had a recurring role on FX's The Comedians alongside Billy Crystal. His film credits include The Rocker, 21, and Pixels. Raised in a Jewish family, Gad graduated from the University School of Nova Southeastern University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in drama from Carnegie Mellon College of Fine Arts in 2003. He is married and resides in the United States.
