Lee Sunmi, born on May 2, 1992, in Iksan, North Jeolla, South Korea, is a South Korean solo singer under MakeUs Entertainment. She debuted as a solo artist on February 17, 2014, with her single "24 Hours," which achieved significant success. Prior to her solo career, Sunmi was a member of the girl group Wonder Girls, debuting with them in 2007. She temporarily left the group in January 2010 to pursue her academic studies but returned in 2015 for their comeback. After the group's disbandment in 2017, she signed with MakeUs Entertainment and released her hit single "Gashina" on August 22, 2017. Sunmi is known for her songwriting and producing abilities, contributing to several Wonder Girls releases.
