Malice Mizer
Biography
MALICE MIZER was a Japanese visual kei band formed in August 1992 by guitarists Mana and Közi. The band is known for its distinct musical and visual styles, which evolved through three distinct eras and line-ups. The first era, known as the Tetsu era (1992-1994), featured vocalist Tetsu, along with members Gaz, Yu~ki, Közi, and Mana. Following a hiatus, the GACKT era began in 1995 and lasted until 1999, during which the band gained significant popularity, releasing the critically acclaimed album "merveilles." After Gackt's departure and the death of drummer Kami in 1999, the band returned to indie status under Mana's label, Midi:Nette. The final era featured vocalist Klaha from 2000 until the band's hiatus in December 2001. Although many consider MALICE MIZER to be disbanded, the band remains influential in the visual kei scene.
