Maria Elena Boschi

Biography

Maria Elena Boschi, born on 24 January 1981, is an Italian politician and lawyer affiliated with the Democratic Party. She served as Minister for Constitutional Reforms and Relations with the Parliament from 22 February 2014 to 12 December 2016 under Prime Minister Matteo Renzi. In this role, she was responsible for overseeing the implementation of the government's program. Following this, she became the Secretary of the Council of Ministers in the cabinet of Paolo Gentiloni on 12 December 2016, making her the first woman to hold this position. Boschi has been an influential figure in Italian politics, particularly in matters related to constitutional reform and parliamentary relations.
