Moe Howard, born Moses Horwitz on June 19, 1897, in Bensonhurst, New York, was a prominent American actor and comedian, best known as a member of the comedy trio The Three Stooges. He was the fourth of five brothers, two of whom, Curly and Shemp, also performed as Stooges. Moe's early career began in 1909 at Vitagraph Studios, where he gained experience in film. He formed a partnership with Ted Healy in the 1920s, which eventually led to the creation of The Three Stooges with Larry Fine. The group became famous for their slapstick comedy and distinctive routines. Moe married Helen Schonberger in 1925 and had two children. Throughout his career, he was known for his authoritative persona, bowl haircut, and comedic timing. Moe Howard passed away on May 4, 1975, leaving a lasting legacy in the world of comedy.
