Parveen Babi (4 April 1954 – 20 January 2005) was an Indian actress renowned for her glamorous performances in Hindi cinema during the 1970s and early 1980s. She starred in several iconic films, including Deewar, Namak Halaal, Amar Akbar Anthony, and Shaan, earning recognition as one of the most beautiful actresses of her time. Babi's contributions to the film industry left a lasting impact on Indian cinema. She was found deceased in her Mumbai apartment on 22 January 2005, after concerns were raised about her well-being. An investigation revealed that she had likely died several days prior, with complications from diabetes, including gangrene of the foot, cited as contributing factors. The authorities ruled out foul play. Parveen Babi was buried next to her mother at Santa Cruz, Mumbai, on 23 January 2005.
