RZA, born Robert F. Diggs, is an influential figure in hip-hop, recognized primarily as the founder and producer of the Wu-Tang Clan. Emerging from Brownsville, Brooklyn, in the early '90s, he formed the group in 1992, leading to the release of their iconic debut album, "Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)," which is celebrated as a classic in the genre. Beyond music, RZA has pursued a diverse career as a composer, actor, and director, making his directorial debut with "The Man with the Iron Fists." He has appeared in films such as "Repo Men," "Due Date," and "American Gangster." RZA is also an avid chess player and established WuChess.com, the first online hip-hop chess community. His contributions to film scoring include collaborations with renowned directors like Ridley Scott and Quentin Tarantino. RZA has authored "The Wu-Tang Manual" and "The Tao of Wu," further solidifying his multifaceted career.
