Biography

Alvin Nathaniel Joiner, known professionally as Xzibit, was born on September 18, 1974, in Detroit, Michigan. He is an American rapper, actor, and television host, best recognized for his role as the host of the MTV show Pimp My Ride, which significantly increased his visibility. Xzibit gained prominence in the West Coast hip-hop scene with his debut album, At the Speed of Life, and achieved further success with subsequent albums including Restless, Man vs. Machine, and Weapons of Mass Destruction. Throughout his career, he collaborated with prominent artists such as Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and Dr. Dre, and worked with international musicians from various countries. Xzibit's early life involved challenges, including a difficult family situation, leading him to pursue music in California after moving from Albuquerque, New Mexico. He later reconciled with his father, who appears on his second studio album.
