Veronica Webb
Biography
Veronica Webb, born February 25, 1965, is an American model, actress, writer, and television personality. She gained prominence as the first African-American model to secure a major cosmetics contract. Webb has graced the covers of prominent fashion magazines including Vogue, Essence, and Elle, and has walked the runway for brands such as Victoria's Secret and Chanel.
Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Webb is the daughter of Marion, a public health nurse, and Leonard Douglas Webb, an electrician. After graduating from Detroit's Waldorf School in 1983, she moved to New York to study design. A chance encounter with a makeup artist led her to pursue a modeling career, which included appearances in music videos for New Order and Scritti Politti.
Webb was married to George Robb from 2002 to 2009 and has two children. She married Chris Del Gatto on March 23, 2013.
