Biography

Yvette Vickers was an American actress born in Kansas City, Missouri. She studied picture and theatre arts at UCLA for three years before moving to New York in the mid-1950s, where she gained recognition as the White Rain Girl in commercials. Vickers returned to the West Coast and appeared in various television shows before making her film debut in "Short Cut to Hell" (1957), directed by James Cagney. Throughout the late 1950s, she featured in several films and made notable appearances in "Hud" (1963) and "What's the Matter with Helen?" (1971). She also acted in the TV movie "The Dead Don't Die" (1975). Vickers passed away in her home, where she was discovered nearly a year after her death.
