Biography

Betty Sun is a Chinese actress who began her career in show business by participating in the 2001 Star Search competition organized by Singapore's MediaCorp. Although she did not place in the final rankings, she received notable praise from judge Andy Lau. Sun gained recognition in 2003 when she was selected by author and TV producer Hai Yan for the female lead in the TV drama Jade Goddess of Mercy. Her prominence in the industry escalated with her role in the 2007 TV series Once Upon a Time in Shanghai. In 2008, she portrayed the heroine Little Tiger in the mini-series Iron Road, a significant Canada/China co-production. In 2011, she played Zhen Huan in the acclaimed series Hougong Zhen Huan Zhuan. Sun has been married to actor Deng Chao since 2011.
