Biography

Immortal is a Norwegian black metal band formed in Bergen in 1991. The founding members are frontman and guitarist Abbath Doom Occulta (Olve Eikemo) and guitarist Demonaz Doom Occulta (Harald Nævdal). Throughout its history, the band has collaborated with various drummers, including Grim, Armagedda, and Hellhammer. In 1996, former drummer Horgh (Reidar Horghagen) joined the group, solidifying the lineup. Immortal is known for its distinctive sound and thematic elements, often drawing inspiration from winter landscapes and Norse mythology. Over the years, the band has released several critically acclaimed albums and has become a significant figure in the black metal genre.
